Summer Starter

So originally I thought I would be able to blog every two days or so... boy was I wrong! You would think with only three young kids and a house and hubby to take care of I could find the time right??!?! It's been a week so I'm not gonna bore you with our everyday activities... I'll just give you a few of the "more exciting" activities =)

Last Thursday Mic and I went to dinner at Ravelelli's (not sure if I spelled that right!) and it was YUMM-O! I had an Italian beef sandwich and it was the best I've ever had.. with Marchello's in Chester not far behind! After we ate we went to see The Hangover Part 2 and we laughed our booty's off! The laughs and adult time was much needed and I can't wait to watch that movie again when it comes out on DVD!

Saturday Mic worked all day... (surprise surprise, I know!) So I decided to take the kids to the Magic House and then to the park. We had a good time... even though the Magic house was incredibly PACKED! I didn't know they added a new addition on to the Magic House... its a whole new side! After the park we headed down to Red Bud to have dinner with my mom and Kyleigh AND THEN (my days never end) we went over to our sweet friends, The Kelley's, house to watch the UFC fights. It was a LOOONG (but good!) day.

Memorial day we didn't do a dang thing but go out to dinner at Applebee's! I was bored outta my freakin mind!

Today was Mikayla's last hour of kindergarten! Mrs. Crew's gave each kid in her class an "award." Mikayla got the "reader extraordinaire" award.  Mrs Crew's said she can put anything in front of her and she can read it! =) That makes me a proud momma! I really can't believe she's gonna be in first grade next year... the years are flying by no matter how hard I try to slow them down and enjoy them. After her little graduation I took Kennah to the Little Gym for her first real gymnastics class... and she L-O-V-E-D it!! I'm so glad she is able to start doing her own activities now.. she starts tball tomorrow too! She's such a big girl!

So I'm EXHAUSTED and so ready for bed... the kids aren't though... the girls are bickering over who is going to pick up what in their room (**sigh**) and Landon in walking around the couch trying to grab the laptop while I switched it from side to side. But I'm gonna miss this right??? One of these days I'm gonna miss the noise and chaos in my house.. so I'm gonna try to enjoy this craziness! Have a good week all!!!

*10*   God - for blessing me beyond imagination.. everyday i think about how lucky I am to have everything that i do... my perfect kids, my amazing husband, my supportive family, a roof over my head, food in my cabinets, good friends, health, and happiness... my life honestly couldn't get any better... and for that i am so very thankfuL!

5 Minute Breather to Blog

Wow.. I've been slackin' on my posts here huh?? Hopefully being crazy nonstop offers a little justification though! Here's a few of the somewhat exciting things that I've been busy with...

~Saturday~

Took the kiddo's to Centerfield while Mic was working, so that Mikayla could hit a few balls in the batting cages.

It was SUCH a beautiful day! We dropped the kids off at the inlaws for a couple of hours and went on a ride on the Harley. I've heard that there are always ups and downs in relationships but Mic and I have been on a major "up"... its been so amazing lately.. He's been such a peach =)

~Sunday~

Sunday Funday was a busy one for me! Tball game, (alone because Mic had to work and my momma wasn't feeling good.. and thats always an experience with three kids!) Scensty party to host, and then we had a yummy dinner at Texas Road House (Our favorite place to eat!)

~Monday~

I took the kid's to story time at Barns and Noble (my mom met us there at the end), and we walked over to meet a good friend of mine (Susan) for lunch at Red Robin, then came back to Barns and Noble to looks at books while it stormed like crazy! I have to admit, I got a little freaked out when I saw a book fall off a shelf because of the wind.. I thought I was gonna cry! It all blew over and we were all safe and sound... except my bank account =)

~Tuesday~  (Today)

We went on a field trip with Mikayla's class! First we went to the library.. that was pretty fun, they read two books to us and then we got to go upstairs and look at the kid books in the library. Then we went to the firehouse in Belleville. That was really cool.. they got to watch a movie about fire safety, take a tour of the firehouse, get in a fire truck, and spray a fire hose! I even enjoyed this part =) Then we went to the park for lunch and play time. It was a great day! I'm so lucky to be able to go on field trips with my baby girl. She was happy I could be there with her.



So things have been going really great for us. Mic's been workin his booty off at Gateway (stocking roofs) & the company has been so so slammed! I've been making sure our schedule is filled with summer activities. They all start next week too! Kennah and Mikayla start swimming lessons next week, Kennah starts The Little Gym and tball next week, and Mikayla still has lots of tball going on.. all of this along with the story times, summer reading programs, zoo trips and lots of swimming I plan on doing! I'm so excited!

With lysol in one hand and clorox in the other....

Today I decontaminated my house! I am DONE DONE DONE with the flu! After cleaning and vacuuming Landon's, the girls, and my room... scrubbing the toilets, washing all the sheets, bleaching out trash cans, working on laundry, paying bills, and making a few phone calls all I can say is "Damn, it feels good to have my super mommy cape back on!"

Here's what been going on in MY life....

Saturday.. woke up to rain... tball game got cancelled but we still had two birthday parties to go to. First was Mikayla's friend Lucy from school.

Mikayla had a blast with a her friends from school.  Landon seemed to be feeling better too!

After Lucy's party I went and got a broken nail fixed =) and than ran to the Harley Shop with Mic to pick up a part (and two jackets, a head band, boots, and gloves.. none of which were on our "list").  Then we were off to yet another birthday party! This one was for Riley (Mic's brothers daughter) my niece.  It was at Chuck E Cheese and that is one of the best places in the world (note the sarcasm)... it was so much fun that it made me vomit.  I was a party pooper =)

Two thirty the next morning, Mikayla thought she would join me in being a party pooper! We spent the next 12 hours bonding as we hovered over the toilet.  **Sigh** This flu just won't leave us alone!

Landon went to MawMaw's house while mommy was sick. He made a funny face while MawMaw took a picture and they sent it to me =)

Kennah and Daddy joined me and Mikayla at nap time. It was an AMAZING and much needed nap for all of us.

 Landon came home Sunday and had chicken soup with me and Mikayla for dinner =) I missed him!

Sunday night after the girls went to bed I layed in bed with my boys and watched the Cardinal's game on TV. I was finally feeling better!

Woo Hoo!! Monday morning Mikayla and I woke up feeling like ourselves again! ... and its a good thing cause Monday was Mikayla's school parade and picnic! She walked in the parade and I met her at the end for rides, games, and carnival food!

We stood in line for this ride for 45 minutes, only to be told that Mikayla wasn't tall enough to ride =( I wasn't a happy camper and neither was Mikayla.

We sent Mic this picture telling him that we were having fun spending his money while he was at work =) Aren't we just little snots =)

Since Mikayla wasn't tall enough to ride most of the rides, we got food and played games!

We had a really good time. Glad that we were feeling better and things were getting back to normal! So last night I made chicken and rice while Landon drug everything out of the cabinet! I let him.. just because he's so darn cute!

and he learned how to climb last night! I'm real excited about that... not!

Then when I least expected it I heard  "bbaarrrffff".... yep.. it was Kennah. My poor baby threw up all night.. I felt just horrible for her. She is now sleeping it off (2:00pm on Tuesday). So like I said before.. we are DONE DONE DONE with the flu. If you even THINK you felt a funny twinge in your belly.. stay away from me, my kids, my house, my car, my mailbox, and my blog! =) We paid our dues to Mr. Flu this year!
